About This Tool
This web tool allows you to easily perform statistical significance tests between two groups of numerical data. Whether your data are paired or independent, normally distributed or not, the tool guides you through the appropriate test selection—such as t-test or non-parametric alternatives—based on sample size and variance assumptions. Results include test names, statistics, p-values, and visualizations such as boxplots and histograms, all generated automatically.
Designed for scientists, students, and researchers in the biological and medical fields, this tool helps you understand and interpret the results, not just calculate them. No statistical software needed—just paste your data and get started!
How It Works
The diagram below illustrates the decision flow used by this tool to select the appropriate statistical test based on your input:
Note on Sample Size
Even if your sample size is fewer than 30, you can check the "Each Group has 30 or more data points" option to visualize normality (via histogram and QQ plot) and access the t-test. However, please be cautious: with very small sample sizes (especially n ≤ 10), statistical tests can be highly sensitive to noise. It is strongly recommended to repeat experiments under the same conditions to confirm reproducibility before relying on significance results.
